Thumoslang speakers divide their belt colors into three groups: novice, intermediate, and advanced belts. Novice belts are white, yellow, and orange. Intermediate belts are green, blue, and purple. Advanced belts are red, brown, and black.

50 | Enough wisdom to join a deliberate village or start a new one. | |
60 | Enough wisdom to do a deliberate-family business. | |
70 | Not ashamed to die as you have already won some victory for humanity. | |
80 | Elected by Thumoslang speakers as their leader. | |
90 | Recognized by the public as a Thumoslang leader. |
