GeoGebra Geometry | Geometry Book

Introduction

You should know how to use the program GeoGebra Geometry by now. If you do not know how to use GeoGebra Geometry, you should first do Procedure 23003. It has a dozen tasks, each with a dozen steps. After you take all steps in Procedure 2300, you should know how to use the program GeoGebra Geometry well enough to do this procedure by carrying out all of the following tasks.

Do all tasks presented below. Take all steps listed under every task.

Task 1 Keep This Procedure on the First Window
  1. Open the web browser Google Chrome using your computer.
  2. Create three different windows or browser tabs.
  3. On the first window, go to Mr. Quach’s teaching website Ri4C.com.
  4. Select the menu command Procedures at the top of the web page.
  5. Select the link taking you to this procedure, Procedure 23004.
Task 2 Keep GeoGebra Program on the Second Window
  1. On the second browser window, go to Mr. Quach’s teaching website Ri4C.com.
  2. Select the menu command GeoGebra at the top of the web page.
  3. Select a link to launch the program GeoGebra Geometry.
Task 3 Keep the Online Geometry Book on the Third Window
  1. On the third browser window, go to Mr. Quach’s teaching website Ri4C.com.
  2. Select the menu command Procedures at the top of the web page.
  3. Select the link taking you to the Online Geometry Book.
  4. Go to Unit 2 – Congruence.
  5. Go to Lesson 4 – Congruent Triangles, Part 2.
  6. You should have only three windows.
    • The first window is for the procedure in focus.
    • The second window is for the GeoGebra program.
    • The third window is for the online book.
  7. Close all other unnecessary windows to minimize confusion.
Task 4 Draw the First Triangle Using GeoGebra
  1. Read the entire section 4.1 under Lesson 4 – Congruent Triangles, Part 2.
  2. Draw the triangle as specified in Section 4.1 using GeoGebra. (20 points)
    • You must use GeoGebra to earn more than 80 points for this assignment.
  3. Make sure that the triangle meets all of the following conditions as closely as possible with all measurements correctly labelled.
    • It has an angle of 40 degrees. (10 points)
    • It has an angle of 20 degrees. (10 points)
    • It has an angle of 120 degrees. (10 points)
    • One of its sides is 5 centimeters. (10 points)
    • One of its sides is 2 centimeters. (10 points)
    • One of its sides is 3.7 centimeters. (10 points)
Task 5 Send Mr. Quach the Result
  1. You must place your full name on the drawing. (10 points)
  2. Take a snapshot or photo of your work.
  3. Send the resulting image to Mr. Quach by email.
    • Click here for his email address.
  4. You should finish this procedure within 12 hours from when Mr. Quach asks you to begin. (10 points)
